    Drive on the Left: In Zanzibar, as in many other former British colonies, driving is on the left side of the road.
     
    Speed Limits: Pay attention to speed limits, especially in urban areas and near schools. The maximum speed on country side is typically (50 mph) and in stone town area is 20 (mph) 
     
    Seatbelts: It’s mandatory for all occupants to wear seatbelts.
    Urban Areas: Zanzibar Town and other urban centers have well-maintained roads. Watch out for pedestrians, cyclists, and bustling markets.
     
    Rural Roads: When venturing into more remote areas, be prepared for narrower roads. Take your time and enjoy the scenic landscapes.

    Fuel stations are readily available in town Area and country side. All fuel stations around the island the only accept cash in Tanzanian shillings only. They don’t accept cards payments neither in usd nor in Euro.Its advisable to convert your Money to Tanzanian shillings at the airport or any bureau change around the island. 

    Be aware of local driving habits. Drivers in Zanzibar might be more relaxed compared to bustling cities, so drive defensively and be patient.

    Finding parking in busy areas like Stone Town can be challenging,but most areas have parking lots and watchmen, make sure you park the car to the parking lot to ensure security for the vehicle. At county side make sure you parked your car inside your hotel.
